Karan Patel a.k.a Yeh Hai Mohabbatein's Raman Kumar Bhalla might be controversy's favourite child, but he is also one of the most loved actors of Indian television. When he tweeted '#RKB ho na ho....#TheShowMustGoOn in August 2016, all his fans panicked! In a recent interview, Karan admitted that he indeed had some issues with the track.
Recently on being asked about him being unhappy with his role, the actor said, "We are working in a daily soap and the story keeps changing. It’s not a bound script. At times, you might not like a particular track, but if the audience is enjoying it, then you should take it forward. They are the ones you are doing the show for, ultimately. I wasn’t happy with the track and felt it could have been better. Again, the producer and the creative [team] are better judges of how the show should progress."
These were the tweets that led to the speculations that he is leaving the popular show. It all started after he re-tweeted some of these controversial tweets -
Shocking isn't it ? It's hard to believe that even popular actors like him don't have a say in the decision making when it comes to introducing new tracks. Karan's insecurity was not completely unreasonable as the show's focus had quite visibly shifted on the female characters, Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi).Karan's character of Raman Bhalla had almost became insignificant to the story. We hear that his apprehensions came from the right place as the makers were indeed planning to kill one of the lead male characters to give a boost to the TRPs, which had been on an all time low ever since the show took a leap. However, Karan seems to have resolved his issues now as not only is he enjoying a better screen space but also playing a crucial role in the ongoing track of Ruhi's (Aditi Bhatia) MMS.
So all RKB fans out there, you guys can take a sigh of relief as he is not leaving the show anytime soon.
