Ups and downs are part and parcel of life and so is the case with Bollywood. Several celebrities despite being amazing actors and actresses have to face failures in life. And even Kareena Kapoor Khan had her own share of downfalls in the showbiz. In her career spanning two decades, the actress has made her own mark in the industry and have delivered some brilliant performances. Be it the lively Geet from Jab We Met or the raw and real-deal, Mahi Arora from Heroine – Kareena knows her job and she owns it like nobody. However, there was a phase when films didn’t work out well enough and her professional life was in a mess. And guess who came to the actress’ rescue, none other than her hubby, Saif Ali Khan.
In a post on Humans Of Bombay, Kareena revealed how Saif was supportive and helped her overcome the low phase in her career. “Somehow throughout my career and my life, I’ve been blessed with people who have loved and supported me so thoroughly! So just when I thought I was falling, Saif caught me. I’d met him numerous times before, but when we were filming Tashan, something changed. I wore my heart on my sleeve around him. He was so utterly charming; I fell for him hook, line, and sinker,” Kareena’s post read.
Kareena started dating Saif from Tashan days and revealed how they would go on long bike rides just to spend time knowing each other and bonding. “We’d enjoy the beauty around us, have these great conversations and just bond,” she said. Bebo also added “He’s 10 years older than me and has two children. But for me, he was just Saif – he helped me heal and made me fall in love with myself. Maybe it was the fact that we’re dramatically different – he’s more private and not very ‘Bollywoodised’, but that’s what I imbibed from him. I learnt to strike a balance and not let things get to me.” Have a look at the post here…
TBH, Kareena’s post reminded us of the Saifeena romance phase which we bore witnessed to. They eventually tied the knot in 2012. In 2016, Kareena and Saif welcomed the then-future internet sensation Taimur Ali Khan.
On the work front, Kareena has Good News lined up along with Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Saif on the other hand, will be seen in Dil Bechara, Tanaaji: The Unsung Warrior in which he is collaborating with Ajay Devgn after a gap of 13 years. He will be playing the antagonist, Udaibhan Singh Rathod, in the film. Saif has also signed India's first 3D horror comedy franchise film, Bhoot Police, which also features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Ali Fazal in key roles.
