The Central Board of Film Certification has asked Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming movie Luki Chuppi to incorporate four cuts. The movie based on a wacky live-in relationship is set to release this weekend. It clashes with Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s Sonchiriya. As per a Hindustan Times report, Luka Chuppi has been passed with four cuts which includes three audio cuts and one visual change. The makers have also been asked to mute out cuss words in the movie. This includes “k*njar” and “har**mi.” The word “chu**a” has reportedly been replaced by “kutta.”
The publication reveals that a scene featuring a zoom in shot of a hand gesture for the dialogue “Mujhe bhi chahiye” has been changed as well. The board has asked the makers to include an additional disclaimer in Hindi. After incorporating these changes, Luka Chuppi’s run time will be 126 minutes 9 seconds.
This isn’t the first time Kartik’s movie has faced the knife. His 2018 blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety had cuss words beeped out. The movie also had the word ‘condom’ beeped out but the board let the word ‘sex’ remain in the movie.
Meanwhile, Luka Chuppi has a good buzz ahead of its release. The movie is tracking on opening day box office collection of Rs 6 to 8 crore. BollywoodLife’s trade expert Ganesh Aaglave predicts that the movie could record an opening weekend collection of Rs 25 to 30 crore.
Luka Chuppi is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar. The movie’s trailer has already received massive love and the songs are already becoming popular. Haven’t watch the trailer yet? Watch it here:
