Congratulations are in order for Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta. The two met on sets of Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, which was Smriti's maiden show on TV. They played co-stars on the show. Smriti played Ritika, Shakti Arora's jilted lover while Gautam played Sharman. Destiny brought them together as friends and their feelings eventually blossomed into love. Gautam recently proposed Smriti in Goa underwater and Smriti accepted the proposal. Smriti is now seen on Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki where she plays Rishi's (Ssharad Malhotra) friend who later gets into a love triangle with Tanuja (Kratika Sengar).
Gautam Gupta started off his career when Ram Gopal Verma launched him in the film Go. The film had Priyanka Kothari as Gautam's heroine but it flopped at box office. Since Gautam's father Sushil Gupta owns a film post production company he is from a rich family and after his film debut go busy with his business. He made his TV film debut with Meri Aashiqi Tumse Hi. Later Ekta Kapoor launched him as main lead in Kuch to Hai Tere Mera Darmiyaan with Shritama Banerjee. The show had a really bad run and all the actors were replaced within a month. After that show Gautam quit acting and got busy with his father's business. Smriti is busy making her wedding preparations. The marriage will take place in this year.
