It's always a fight for the spotlight in Bollywood, they say. But they conveniently forget is that it's also a close-knit fraternity that also believes in friendship. The latest among one of those is Ranveer Singh and Katrina Kaif's bond. If you'd recall, all was not well between Katrina and Ranveer's wife and actress Deepika Padukone. The two leading ladies were once at loggerheads but it all kinda fizzled away when the actor went ahead and invited Kat for one of their wedding receptions. Yes, they were not snapping at each other even then but the fact that the Bharat star joined in their celebration burned a lot of bridges.
That and when the two divas hugged it out at the Star Screen Awards, courtesy Ranveer Singh. Since then, they have all spoken fondly of each other. At a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Katrina Kaif opened up about her equation with Ranveer and said, "He is such a darling." Well, we agree!
Not just that, She also expressed how she feels about Ranveer’s comment about making his wedding special with her presence. "Life can get a little heavy at times and holding on to grudges makes the burden heavier. If you can let go of the past, let it go. I have because I want friends around me...I want happiness and positivity," the actress added.
Earlier, she revealed how it was to attend the DeepVeer reception and had stated, "I did dance the night away. I was one of the last people to leave, I must confess that. I think I also ate at least half of their chocolate fountain. I think I need to control myself next time. But it was beautiful. It was a lovely reception, and everyone had a really nice time. They both looked absolutely lovely."
Even Deepika recently, while speaking to Filmfare had said that she prefers to see bygones and bygones. "A lot of water has flown under the bridge. For me, just the fact that she came and was very present was gracious (of her). I've always been fond of her. You know, just the way that she's been over the years, and with her work and I have a lot of respect for that. I made my peace with her, " she had said.
On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Kabir Khan's '83 which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020. After this sports drama based on Indian Cricket Team's 1983 world cup win, Ranveer will start working on Karan Johar's period drama, Takht, which features Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif will soon start promoting her big-ticket Eid release Bharat with Salman Khan.
