Yes, although an official announcement on the same is yet to be made but from the reports that are doing the rounds, turns out Salman and Jacqueline will be performing on Heeriye from Race 3 while Katrina Kaif will put up a solo act on her hit tracks from Tiger Zinda Hai. Says a source, “ It was only last year that Katrina brought the house down at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi as she performed at the opening ceremony of the Indian Super League (ISL). In 2016, she was part of the grand opening of the IPL season and everything from her dance moves to her super chiseled abs ,went on to make headlines. It’s no surprise then that she’s one of the most sought after names for sport league performances. The organizers are making every effort to raise the bar and all eyes are now on the closing ceremony to see what’s in store this year”.
Another source revealed to Mid Day, "They will have separate acts. Kartik Aaryan will perform on Bom Diggy Diggy and Dil Chori from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Katrina Kaif will dance to her hits from Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). Though the songs are still being finalised, Swag Se Swagat is sure to be on Katrina's playlist. The practise sessions are over and above their shoot schedules and brand commitments. Each act will be 10 minutes long."
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, the actor will host a two hour prelude to the IPL finale. "Cricket Finals - Party Toh Banti hai" will be telecast on Star Plus. It will see a melange of performances and fun-filled interactions with celebrities. Additionally, actors Ravi Dubey, Gaurav Sareen, Aakriti Sharma and Deshna Dugad will amplify the entertainment quotient of the finale. It will be followed by the VIVO IPL 2018 grand finale on Star India Network on May 27, " said a statement issued by the channel.
Interestingly, we hear Ranbir has replaced Ranveer Singh to take the host-seat at the closing ceremony of IPL this year. What more fireworks are in store for us? Only time will tell. Until then, keep watching this space for more updates.
