Filled with wry humour, the film seems to have great potential to fall in the rare genre of intelligent comedy
Radhika Apte seems to be on a roll these days. After making an impact on audience with films like Badlapur, Hunterrr and Sujoy Ghosh's short film Ahalya, the B-town hottie's next film Kaun Kitne Paani Mein along side recently married Kunal Kapoor looks extremely promising.
Directed by Nila Madhab Panda, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein is a satirical film on how water or the scarcity of it decides the fate of an entire village. The film stars Kunal Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Saurabh Shukla and Gulshan Grover in lead roles. The trailer of the much talked about film is here and this is what I thought of it:
The trailer kicks off on a very intriguing note with the Raja of a village Saurabh Shukla trying to auction the entire village but in vain. The reason why no one is willing to invest on the village is the extreme scarcity of water. Raja's son played by Kunal Kapoor arrives at the village and the father-son duo try to hatch a plan to improve the state of village's water problem. Soon, we get to know that the village was divided into two based on caste and money, and other half of the village has enough water to sustain. But the problem is the king of other village, Gulshan Grover is not fond of Saurabh Shukla. Now starts the mad plan of Saurabh Shukla who pushes Kunal Kapoor to woo Radhika Apte, who plays Gulshan Grover's daughter, in order to gain control over water resource. The trailer looks extremely promising and has enough moments of wry humour to keep you interested.
