We were all bowled over when Abhishek Kapoor's disaster-drama Kedarnath's teaser starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput was out! Nature's cold fury against what looked like a timeless love saga between two very unusual people, it was the talk of the town and for all the right reasons! If you have somehow missed it; it showcased a unique love story of a Muslim pithoo (Sushant) and a Hindu tourist (Sara), set in the backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods that left the state devastated in 2013. Needless to say, the visualisation was compelling which was both enchanting and scary. The makers even unveiled a poster yesterday and it only piqued our interest and made us impatient for the trailer.
And if you're on the same page of desperation as us...Well, you're just in time cause, the makers have dropped the trailer and it was worth the wait. The four-minute long clip has delved deeper into the story which binds worship and love in a fresh narrative of its own. Like in the teaser, Sara and Sushant's chemistry is invigorating if not anything else but the trailer goes a step forward with their connection with their 'pilgrimage of love' and it will surely tug at your heart string. Earlier, the priests of Uttarakhand's Chardham had demanded a blanket ban on the movie citing various reasons. According to them, it hurts Hindu religious sentiments while promoting 'love jihad'. Ones who are protesting had threatened to start an agitation against the film if the ban is not implanted. While that is that, the movie is slated for a release on December 7 and will mark Sara's Bollywood debut.
BL Says: The trailer looks like a journey you'd want to take even when you know that it is none other than nature playing the odds. But like they say, love conquers all and we are hoping for a similar fate.
