It is about time we all came together to help the beautiful state of Kerala, which has been facing massive floods for the past 10 days. Taking the initiative, Esha Gupta has stepped up. The Baadshaho actress took to her Instagram page and posted a video in which she is appealing her fans to make donations to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. She talks about the dire situation in the state and reasserts that we all must have someone stuck there with no food, no clean water and no electricity. She reveals that she has had no contact with her agent, who is stuck there, since the past few days. The actress also reveals that she has donated her one day's earning to the relief fund. We hope more people join Esha in this noble cause.
In her post, Esha wrote, "I urge you to donate money food clothes whatever you can in your own way, no one needs to know how much and what, lend a helping hand because you can. Kerala needs us, humanity needs us. They are right now cut off from the world with no one other way but choppers reaching out for supplies. Let’s stand together." More than a dozen helicopters, hundreds of defence personnel, NDRF teams and ordinary fishermen with their motorboats launched a massive rescue operation in Kerala as rains subsided. But the death toll touched 164 in 10 days. Our prayers are with Kerala and its people.
