Kiku Sharda row: Kapil Sharma sends an appeal to Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh!

Intolerance cannot be explained any better than this! Comedy Nights With Kapil's Palak aka Kiku Sharda has been legally charged for mocking Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh! Although he has been released on a bond of Rs 1 lakh but he's still detained and might also be taken to the Haryana police station! It's definitely something that none of us would have expected! Is sense of humour such a big crime now?

Well, we dunno what worse is yet in store but CNWK friend-host Kapil Sharma has now come out in defence of Kiku. He took to Twitter and wrote an heartfelt appeal to Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh saying, "Mera sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji se nivedan hai ki is masle me media ke samne aye aur ek kalaakar jo duniya me sirf khushi bantne ka kaam kar rha hai k haq me khade hokar puri duniya me insaaniyat ki ek khoobsurat misaal pesh kre. Aao saath milkar shaanti aur khushi ke liye kaam kre.” (I appeal to Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh ji “INSAAN” to come in front of the media in regard to this matter and present a beautiful example of kindness by defending an actor, who only spreads happiness through his acting. Let’s work for peace and happiness together)"

Kapil was even a part of a debate on a news channel last night! Obviously such regressive reactions are very disturbing. Apart from Kapil, several celebs right from Farah Khan, Sonu Sood to TV stars Mahi Vijj are seen showcasing their support for Kiku on social networking sites. Even Twitteratis are trolling Ram Rahim Singh and questioning our Indian system with all their aggression! Will Kiku be freed from charges?
