The cat is not yet out of the bag and it will take some great intervention to finally bring out the truth as to who really was involved in Abhi and Pragya’s kidnapping
In the recent episode of Kumkum Bhagya, Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha) bring Purvi (Charu Mehra) back to prove that she is not involved in their kidnapping. However, when Neel (Neel Motwani) comes to Abhi’s house he claims that it was Purvi who helped him and not his sister. Purvi screams and pleads everyone to believe her as she did not have any hand in the kidnapping, But no one believes her... again! Pragya also disowns her for putting Abhi’s life in jeopardy.
That’s exactly where I have a problem with the plot. Yes Abhi and Pragya went through an ordeal during the kidnapping sequence, so did I while watching the never ending track. Bulbul (Mrunal Thakur) proves that Aaliya (Shikha Singh) is the one behind the kidnapping but she manipulates to show Purvi is the real culprit. And without a second thought everyone believes her. Why? Just because Purvi is the servant’s daughter and hence it is possible for her to come up with this elaborate scheme? When Abhi and Pragya get Purvi back home to prove her innocence, they were actually basing their decision on Neel’s confession, OMG! Wait a minute, isn’t he the culprit in the scene? So why then does his word have more importance than Purvi’s, who Pragya considers as her sister?
When Pragya was innocent in the MMS scandal, everyone in her family believed her without any proof, then why was this courtesy not extended to Purvi? Is someone who doesn’t have proof always guilty? Pragya basis her judgement on the fact that Neel knows things that only the three sisters knew, well she is clearly assuming that no one overheard her. It was not like she discussed the plan of Bulbul hiding from Purab (Arjit Taneja) in a soundproof room, right? What about the fact that Neel is a killer and will do just about anything to seek revenge and disrupt their lives. In spite of all that Pragya is ready to believe Neel but not the one she grew up with? What kind of twisted relationships are these? Frankly, I love the way Purvi reacted; finally someone spoke it the way I see it.
