In December 2018, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth surprised us with a hush-hush wedding in Tennessee. However, the marriage did not last beyond eight months. They had been in an on and off relationship since years and decided to quit as they felt it was the best decision. Miley Cyrus' rep confirmed the news with a statement, "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers," the statement continued. "They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."
It seems Liam Hemsworth has been in Australia since July. Chris Hemsworth and he were seen in the Byron Bay area. It seems when The Daily Mail Australia asked him about the split, he said, "You don't understand what it's like. I don't want to talk about it, mate." An eyewitness further told E! News, "Liam has been in Australia for the past few weeks with his family. He arrived in late July and has been hanging out with his brother Chris and some of his friends." It seems the brothers are roaming around town and spending a lot of time with Chris Hemsworth's kids. It seems he looks the happiest when he is surfing. It looks like the love of family is helping Liam cope better with the split.
The eyewitness further told the channel, "He has seemed a little bit down but very comfortable being in Australia with family. They celebrated Chris' birthday together with the kids at the house on Sunday and on Monday they went out to get frozen yogurt at Yoflo. Liam was serious and a bit melancholy." It seems Hemsworth is having a tough time. The actor is uncomfortable that everything has been so public. The source stated, "It's been a difficult few weeks for him. He's with his family and just wants to be around people that are going to a support him and try and take his mind off of what's going on."
On the other hand, a source has told People.com that Miley Cyrus wants to seek therapy and be happy in a single focused place. It seems she took the marriage and commitment seriously. The couple's Malibu home was burnt down in the wildfire and it hit Miley hard. The source said, "Miley took [the fire] a lot harder than Liam did, and he is the one who helped her get through it and realize everything would be okay. She even said it all the time herself, that he was her ‘survival partner.’ She took their commitment to marriage seriously and was so excited about being married once she realized it’s what she wanted." Well, she is back in the recording studio. Fans of the two are devastated over the split.
