Karan Johar is killing it on his show, Calling Karan, and spilling the beans as we speak. If you haven't tuned in yet (but why?), the second season is steamier than the first and boy, do we love it! Not to mention KJo's transition from an director/producer to RJ has been one for the books! While nothing from love, ishq to dhokha is off-topic, listeners are hooked to his show to get scoops and hey, we're not complaining. In fact, the recent webisode had none other than Rajkummar Rao as a celeb caller and like everyone else he also needed KJo's advice about a relationship problem that everyone can relate to. He asked,"if your partner likes a particular habit of yours before the relationship, but now it is disturbing them, what should you do?" Well, that doesn't sound news to us but here's what Karan had to say: "I have to say that if you like a quality of your partner for example, your partner is social, loves partying, and you like that about her because you are not that type. But after marriage you realize you need a little me-time, but she wants to go out every time, party every time. That kind of situation... Well, I think that’s terrible. Because if you like this about somebody, then you have to constantly like this. Marriage should not change the status of what you liked earlier." Couldn't agree more.
But that's not all. He also said that a trait shouldn't be in the position of marring a marriage. "If you like someone’s quality when you are with them as a boyfriend/ girlfriend, there is no reason marriage should change that. Marriage is a status that has different connotations, and has different ramifications and repercussions. But a character trait can’t be one of them," he added. Catch the show on Ishq 104.8 FM.
