Listen up! Parineeti Chopra has a say on Bollywood actors turning singers

Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor have something in common. And Parineeti Chopra too joins these stars by turning a singer for her upcoming film Meri Pyari Bindu.

Priyanka Chopra is an international sensation today thanks to her hit singles. Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor are both young B-town beauties who have sung in their own films and now we have Parineeti Chopra joining the bandwagon. The actress who is returning to the silver screen after two years with the upcoming film Meri Pyari Bindu. Parineeti will croon a song for this film believes that the trend of actors singing for their films is coz they want to "explore different aspects of their creative talents".

There is a growing trend of actors singing for their films and the actress says that "every actor wants to do different things." Parineeti told in an interview, "I think it's a coincidence that a lot of the actors, who are working right now happen to be passionate singers and obviously every actor want to do different things. They just don't want to act but also explore different aspects of their creative talents."

The Ishaqzaade fame actress, who was last seen on screen in the 2014 film Kill Dil, has credited everyone for being open to actor's, who are not confining themselves to just acting. "It's a great thing that the audience, music directors and everyone else in the industry are open to the fact that actor's should not only act but also sing," she said.

Parineeti, who made her debut in Hindi cinema in 2011 film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, is a trained singer. She says she was waiting to get an opportunity to sing in a film. "That (singing) was something which was waiting to happen. Everyone around me knew that I sang. I am a trained singer...Directors and music directors would say 'you should sing' but it just never happened and then finally this film happened...It was something that was waiting to happen I think," said the actress.

The announcement of the Parineeti's next film was done with a video on Yash Raj Films' official Twitter handle. It showed the actress singing a song from the upcoming project. Parineeti will also lend her vocals to a song Maana ki hum yaar nahin... in the film is by composer duo Sachin-Jigar.
