Sanjay Dutt's life was nothing short of a roller coaster ride. He had enjoyed a king size life and even begged on the streets and also spent a few years in jail. Kudos to Sanjay Dutt for even permitting a filmmaker to make a movie on his entire life with a prior warning of not sugarcoating it. Ranbir Kapoor has nailed the character and if reviews are to go by, he's already sweeping all the big awards this year. The movie, that is essentially based on a father-son relationship and revolves around friendship, speaks very little about his personal life. Yes, you do not find mentions of any of ex-girlfriends or even his elder daughter, Trishala in the film. Was it a request by Dutt himself to not touch his personal life at all or did the makers willingly ignored that important aspect? Besides Trishala, there were four different individuals that had an important role to play in Sanjay Dutt's life and yet they find no place in his biopic. Richa Sharma
Sanjay Dutt's first wife and mother of Trishala died of cancer in the USA. The actor was devastated after her sad demise and it took him a very long time to cope up with it. While we understand the biopic was not made with an intention to highlight his personal life, a character as vital as Richa should have been in it. Rhea Pillai
Sanjay Dutt's second wife, Rhea Pillai, too, has no place in his biopic and we wonder why. Guess, if they didn't include Richa in the story, there was no way they were going to add Rhea's reference in the story too.
Madhuri Dixit
Sanjay Dutt was linked with Madhuri Dixit during the time when they were ruling Bollywood. Though stars deny these stories and tag them as mere rumours, makers expected Hirani to include a chapter on it. There were reports that Karishma Tanna was playing Madhuri's role in the film, but that's not the case. Which character does she play then? That's for you to find out and we won't ruin it for you.
Tina Munim Ambani
Tina Munim too was linked with Sanjay Dutt even before his affair with Madhuri Dixit made headlines. But sadly you don't find Tina in the biopic anywhere. For the ones who thought Sonam Kapoor's role is sketched on the lines of Tina Munim, you are wrong.
Trishala Dutt
Sanjay Dutt's eldest daughter, Trishala, too, has no mention in Sanju. That's kind of weird. If the movie focused on a father-son relationship, they could have further extended it to a father-daughter relationship too. We expected at least a mention, but sadly, even that's not a part of the film.
