The ace filmmaker was worried about his protege after the Nepal earthquake...
Mahesh Bhatt has always been known to keep a track of his family and good friends. But when there is a moment of emergency, he peps that up a notch higher. He makes sure all his family, close friends and colleagues are safe and sound before resting peacefully himself. The same happened yesterday with director Kunal Deshmukh, when a major earthquake hit the neighbouring Himalayan nation.
Kunal was not in town and was in Nepal, maybe doing recce for an upcoming film. Once the earthquake hit, all telephone lines got jammed and Mahesh Bhatt was unable to reach on to his protege Kunal. So rather than wasting anytime, he put forward a tweet requesting people to help him find Kunal. He tweeted, "Can someone help us search Kunal Deshmukh ( Director of my film Jannat ) in Kathmandu? He was living in The Gorkana Forest Resort." With numerous people retweeting this and trying to get in touch with Kunal, finally Mahesh Bhatt's prayers were answered, when someone responded in the affirmative.
Akshay Kumar's close friend, Ashvini Yardi somehow got in touch with Kunal's grandmother and came to know about his safety and well being. She tweeted to Mahesh Bhatt saying, "Sir,Kunal is safe..Just spoke to his grandma he has gotten in touch with her..@MaheshNBhatt." Now Alia Bhatt's daddy dearest can sit back and rest.
Its wonderful to see people in the film industry come together and reach out to the world in times of such distress.
