Pawan Kalyan-starrer Attarintiki Daaredhi is being remade in Tamil with Simbu aka STR in the lead role. The remake is yet to be titled and is directed by Sundar C while Lyca Productions in bankrolling the project. And according to sources, Ramya Krishnan has been brought on board to reprise the role played by Nadia in the original version of Attarintiki Daaredhi. The shooting of the remake is under progress in Hyderabad and STR is canning important scenes. Ramya Krishnan will join the next schedule of the film which will be in Chennai.
Megha Akash has been signed on to play one of the leading actresses while Catherine Tresa has been signed on for the other. The makers are yet to confirm who would be playing Samantha’s role in the film. It is being speculated that the film may be released in February 2019 although an official confirmation is waited for.
Attarintiki Daaredhi is one of the biggest blockbusters in Pawan Kalyan’s career. The film collected more than Rs 100 crores and making it one of the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Attarintiki Daaredhi also featured Nadia, as Pawan Kalyan’s aunt, while Bollywood actor Boman Irani made his debut in Telugu with this family entertainer.
