Akshay Kumar not only settles the matter, but also wins the group's heart like a true Singh!
As reported by a leading entertainment tabloid, a Sikh group called Akal Takht raised objection over a few scenes depicted in the upcoming Akshay Kumar potboiler, Singh Is Bliing. They apparently took offence to a dialogue that mentioned chicken, whisky, Kabbadi, bhangra and the Golden Temple as the major attractions in Punjab. They also vehemently objected to posters showing skimpily clad women and holy sikh karas and Gurbani imprinted on them.
But, as per reports, the two parties sorted this matter amicably. The official spokesperson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal told the tabloid, "We held a screening of the film with the producers and members of the Gurudwara committee as well as the Censor Board. We put forth our objections and the makers agreed to remove some portions from the film," says Jitender Singh Shunty of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal."
The matter is finally settled now and the group invited the entire team to a religious function on September 27. They will also honour Akki in the event.
