Tanushree Dutta is outspoken and brave, but her sister Ishita Dutta is not and prefers to stay away from controversies. Although she likes to maintain a distance, Ishita supports Tanushree and believes that she is speaking the truth. Recently, when Tanushree slammed Ajay Devgn for working with Alok Nath in De De Pyaar De, Ishita didn't hesitate to voice her thoughts too. When Bombay Times got in touch with the Blank actress, she backed Tanushree's words and said, "I understand that this could land me in a precarious situation, but what’s right is right. Having said that, Ishita, who had worked with Ajay Devgn in Drishyam, also revealed if her sister's remarks would affect her equation or not. "Not at all. My equation with Ajay sir is separate and bears no connection with what my sister feels about the situation. I don’t think he will be upset or angry with me for what she has to say. Vatsal and I have a strong equation with him. Ajay sir isn’t the producer of the film, so he can’t be solely responsible. It has to be a collective decision. I believe that they (the makers of the film) couldn’t have possibly done anything about it," she said. For the ones who haven't read Tanushree's open letter to Ajay Devgn yet, let us tell you that the actress had termed Ajay and the makers of De De Pyaar De as 'hypocrites' because they chose to work with Alok Nath, who has been accused of sexual harassment by Vinta Nanda. A part of Ajay Devgn's note read, "The portions with Mr Alok Nath were canned by August in Manali. The said portions were shot over 40 days across various sets and an outdoor location with a combination of over 10 actors. By the time the allegations came out (in October 2018) the actors in the film including me had already started work on other films." Besides giving a clarification, the actor mentioned that he still respects every woman and would not stand for any unfairness or atrocity against them.
