Few months back Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Maria Rao surprised us when they announced their engagement. Now, it is the turn of Gautam Gupta and Smriti Khanna to do the same. The two got engaged in Goa few days back when they went there to ring in Gautam's birthday that fell on April 13. The two met on the sets of Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi where she played Ritika and he was Sharman. On the show, they had a hate relationship with Ritika playing spoilsport in Ranveer and Ishani's love story. It seems the two started dated after the show got over and decided to seal their relationship.
Smriti told Tellychakkar.com, "We are here in Goa to celebrate Gautam’s birthday, and he just swept me off my feet with this lovely surprise. We started dating after Meri Aashiqui got over and I think its magical how we connected and found love. Our families are really excited and it is an amazing feeling.” However, the two are yet to decide on a wedding date. They are committed to each other and marriage is one thing they are thinking about. The date will be finalised after the parents' meet. Smriti is from Noida while Gautam belongs to a business family.
Earlier, Smriti was reportedly in a relationship with Mayank Kalra of Channel V's It's Complicated. This was in 2015 but we guess that relationship did not last long.
