The #MeToo movement is gaining momentum in India by the day with many women putting up the brave front and sharing the traumatic incidents of their lives. Film fraternity has stood up for the ones who have gathered courage and spoke about the same. Actors like Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Twinkle Khanna, Aditi Rao Hydari and Imran Khan are glad the movement has finally entered India and feel that it was long due. Akshay Kumar's wife Twinkle who was among the first ones to support Tanushree Dutta is following the suit and encouraging other women in the country to open up with a brave heart.
Just a while back, the actress-author gave a shout out to all the brave women who are attempting to make the world a safer place. "Hearing stories, identifying in different ways has led to a churning within, long conversations, talking to my mom too about all the things we internalized as working women.Scabs picked at hurt again but it is worth it.A shout out to all the brave women making the world safer #MeToo," Twinkle wrote on Twitter.
Take a look at her tweet here:
Earlier while showing solidarity towards Tanushree Dutta, Khanna had stated, "Please read this thread before judging or shaming #TanushreeDutta a working environment without harassment and intimidation is a fundamental right and by speaking up this brave woman helps pave the way towards that very goal for all of us!"
