Time for another supernatural show on small-screen?
It’s raining naagins on TV these days. There is a buzz that SAB TV is rolling out a new series ‘Dasi Toh Phasi’. ‘Icchapyari Naagin’ is being considered as another option for the name of the show. The show will be directed by Siddharth Malhotra under his banner Alchemy Productions. It will be an hour long biweekly show like its other counterparts.
Mishkat Varma and Priyal Gor have been roped in to play the leads in the show. The show will mark the come-back of Priyal. A source told a leading daily, “The story will revolve around a snake Iccha played by Priyal. She will visit earth and indulge in a lot of adventure. Iccha will then share her stories with her naglok people. And in one of her trips, Ichha will fall in love with a human (Mishkat) and how their love story adds drama to the tale will be for viewers to see.”
Mishkat was last seen in Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. He had gained immense popularity from his debut serial Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. We also hear that Aashish Kapoor also had been approached for the role but the makers have zeroed in on Mishkat. He will play the role of Bubble Pratap. Mishkat Varma said, "I have been approached for the show, but cannot comment anything about it right now."
Apart from Priyal and Mishkat, Badrul Islam, Praveen Sirohi, Pooja Khatri and Rakshi Pant will also be seen on the show. Badrul will play the role of father, Khadak Pratap. We will get to see Praveen as Prabal Pratap, Pooja as Mamta Pratap and lastly, Rakshit playing the role of Sabal Pratap.
Sejal Shah will play the role of Sipli, Iccha’s (Priyal Gor) mother. Bharat Bhati will play her father, Sheshu. Also Farida Jalal has been roped in to play Kaushaya Dadi along with Rajesh Singh as Naagistaan Guruji,
Indeed a good mix of actors to look forward to!
