Mollywood actor Jishnu Raghavan is no more!

The actor was only 35 years old

Malayalam cinema actor Jishnu Raghavan, who has been a part of the film industry for over twenty years, is no longer with us. The actor, who was battling with cancer for the longest time, finally succumbed to his ailments and breathed his last on March 25, at 8:30 am.

A source close to the actor told a news portal that," Around 8.30 a.m. this morning, he passed away in Amrita hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for a long time." Yes, the same Amrita hospital in Kochi where Kalabhavan Mani died not long ago.

Jishnu was a proud cancer survivor and had won against the disease after a surgery was performed to remove the tumour almost two years ago. However, his victory was short lived and the cancer relapsed last year and the actor had been struggling with it ever since.

He has been a part of Mollywood for the longest time. Jishnu is the son of Malayalam veteran actor Raghavan and so performed as a child artist in Kilipattu in 1987. Jishnu's first appearance a full fledged hero was in 2002. with Kamal directed film Nammal, which turned out to be a blockbuster. He has also worked with famous actor Dulquer Salmaan a few times, notably in Ustad Hotel in 2012 and Njaan in 2014.

Other than his acting, Jishnu was also very smart and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Calicut.

A true smart, talented gem of an actor has been taken from this world far too soon.

Jishnu is survived by his wife Dhanya Rajan.
