Ayan Mukherji's ambitious project Brahmastra has garnered all the buzz since day one. Even more so because it is here where lovebirds Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's reel romance slipped into real-life. That and TV town's brightest star Mouni Roy will be seen in all her might too. Yes, she is on her way to make it big in Bollywood and something tells us it might happen sooner than you think! The hot actress made her Bollywood debut with Gold opposite Akshay Kumar and will be seen next in Ayan Mukerji's ambitious project and as the antagonist, no less! Needless to say, the beauty is on cloud 9 to have bagged such parts so early on in her filmy career.
In a recent interaction with The Times of India, Mouni opened up about her character and said, "I am playing the main villain in the film. I am really looking forward to it. What is more liberating for me is playing different characters that challenge me. I was surprised initially that they wanted me to play the villain." She even added that while a lot of low brows are reserved for shows like Naagin, the director cast her after seeing her play her part in the show. "Ayan Mukerji had seen something from Naagin and felt I could play the villain. So you never know what clicks with whom. As an actor, you should be willing to experiment and be versatile otherwise you can't learn and grow," She added.

Earlier she had posted a picture with her 'Favourite' Ayan and had written, "“Your mind s so open your brains ll fall out”? ~ One nerd to another ?! #Favorite @ayan_mukerji"
She had also spoken about her experience after working with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan who also plays a vital role in the film. She had said, "I can die happily after working with Amitabh ji. I was like a puppy on the sets who didn’t know what to say or do." Talk about fangirling! She had also opened up about sharing screen space with Ranbir-Alia and had the sweetest words for her co-stars. "They are darlings… Such big stars but when you know your craft you can be genuine and humble. When I came in to shoot I was nervous but like our director Ayan (Mukerji) says, ‘It’s about creating art’ and they made me really comfortable," Mouni had added.
Talking about Brahmastra, it is the first installment in a three-part fantasy drama franchise which is being produced by Dharma Productions. It is releasing in Summer 2020. Also backed by Fox Star Studios, the movie also stars Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna in key roles. Stay tuned to BL for more updates and scoops!
