This Friday, woman power will grip box office
Director: A R Murugadoss
Star cast: Sonakshi Sinha, Konkana Sen Sharma, Amit Sadh, Anurag Kashyap
Synopsis: A remake of Telugu film Mouna Guru, Akira speaks about a woman's fight against all odds that are put up against her. Her life spirals out of hand when she gets unwittingly embroiled in a crime that involves corrupt cops. Will she be able to wriggle out of it?
Why should you watch it? Perhaps for the first time a women centric film promises action and stunts that we normally see in a hero laden film. Akira has Sonakshi taking matters into her own hands and teaching people a lesson when they don't respect others. In a day and age when sexual crimes are rampant, this movie has everything it takes to become Bollywood's answer to Kill Bill. It might also inspire girls to take up self defence classes and not wait for a man to fight physical battles.
Sonakshi is looking really good in the film and she sure packs a punch or two here. We are eagerly looking forward to this film.
Sonakshi has been actively promoting the film everywhere. Akshay Kumar promoted the film as well in a sweetest way possible by making a video. There is also news that the actor has a cameo in the film which only makes Akira worth a watch. After Rustom, watching Akshay on big screen has become a treat. Now we can only wait for the film to release so that we can watch it.

Last time a female centric film released, it created history. We definitely are talking about Neerja which did splendid business this year. In fact, it is one of most profitable films of this year. If the content is good, Akira too can follow the same path.
