This Friday, if the tide turns on its side, a film on the drug problem in the country will get a release while another on a superstar's little fans will hit the theatres. Both deserve a dekko and here's what they are all about...
Film: Udta Punjab
Director: Abhishek Choubey
Star cast: Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh
Synopsis: The story is about youngsters in Punjab who have been addicted to drugs to a chronic level and which has led to a state a complete chaos in the region.
Why should you watch it? Udta Punjab may be set in Punjab but it sets out to bare the drug abuse issue in the whole country. There is a drug mafia which runs into millions. Menace is dealt with in the film which is exactly the reason why CBFC is putting so many hurdles in its path. The mess even went political thanks to Punjab's impending elections. Bombay High Court has given a rap around the knuckles of the Board for their treatment towards the film and will give a final decision on Monday. Hopefully, the film releases on June 17.

Star cast: Hetal Gada, Krrish Chhabria, Rajiv Lakshman, Vipin Sharma, Flora Saini
Synopsis: A Shah Rukh Khan fan believes in his words and promises her brother, 8-year old blind Chotu that he will get to see by the time he is 9. SRK's posters on appealing people to donate eyes convince this girl she can make things happen for her brother. But is it possible? She wants to give it a try no matter what.
Why should you watch it? If you liked Fan, we have a feeling you will love Dhanak. That's the power of Shah Rukh Khan's fan, they come in all shape and sizes. If you are a true SRK fan, check this film out for sure.
