Colors aired the first promo of Naagin 3 in January. Since then, people have been eagerly waiting for the channel to announce the launch date. This season is going to be a fresh one in many respects. Firstly, Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan have made way for Karishma Tanna and Anita Hassanandani. Buzz is that Surbhi Jyoti and hot TV hunk Pearl V Puri are also part of the project. As per a report in India Forums, Naagin 3 will start airing on Colors from June 2. As we know, it is going to replace Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli's Chandrakanta on the channel. That serial will have its last episode on May 27. The excitement and hype around the Naagin franchise never seems to end. The first season began in November 2015 and went on till June 2016. It was supposed to wind up in six months but the channel extended it as it was the top-rated show on the Indian GEC. The second season started in October 2016 and ended in June 2017. There has been a long gap since then and we can understand the excitement for the fans.
Naagin is a female-centric show and everyone is more curious about the snake-women. Two days back, Ekta Kapoor unveiled the look of Karishma Tanna and then Anita also shared her look. Obviously, loyalists of Mouni and Adaa will take some time to adjust to the new heroines but the star cast is a fresh one, which should give some sort of revamp. Naagin is based on the folklore of shape-shifting snakes and the previous seasons had all the ingredients like a mysterious haveli, cunning relatives and of course, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is fond of serpents.
Though Chandrakanta did not fare exceptionally well on the TRP charts, it got a long run on the channel. In fact, it was given an extension as well. This season of Naagin 3 promises better VFX (something we're dying to watch!) and more suspense. Stay tuned to BL for more updates...
