Star Plus' Ishqbaaaz is winning hearts everywhere. The show is one of its kind as the makers never shy away from trying something new. From the spin-off to the latest redux, the show is innovating to grab the audience's attention. The makers are giving something new and thus the audience is bowled over by them. It has been running successfully for two years now and has been praised both in BARC India's viewership list as well as digital space. The show recently celebrated its completion of two years and obviously, the team couldn't stop rejoicing.
Both Nakuul Mehta aka Shivaay and Surbhi Chandna aka Anika shared their happiness. While reminiscing the two years of their journey, Nakuul told an entertainment portal, "I think it is incredible. In a lot of ways, all of us have grown and evolved in the last two years. I think we have been able to give some good entertainment and that I feel proud of." On the other hand, Surbhi added, "We have done so much on the show, with the social issues last and now playing entirely different characters with the same people and names. Who gets to do so much on a show?" Both of them further exclaimed that Ishqbaaaz is slightly more on steroids. They said, "This show is slightly more on steroids. We are always up to saving the world and changing things. This also gives us the scope to be larger than life but that also means we have no other life." The duo further added, "We have got this entire audience base which is fully on steroids. But it is great, we wouldn't have it any other way."
Nakuul does not mind when they get criticism from the audience because it helps him understand what they want and stay connected with them. He said, "I think sometimes the audiences get emotional and we get a lot of flak too but I like that because it makes me feel that they are so connected to the show. They are like why aren't you getting the boy and the girl together, why isn't Shivika together?"
