This week's Telugu release Nanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends is a popcorn entertainer aimed at the young crowds. It's a family entertainer that stars Hebah Patel in the lead with Noel Sean, Ashwin Babu and Parvateesham playing her multiple boyfriends. Ramesh Rao plays her doting father in the movie, that's directed by Bhaskar Bandi.
Hebah Patel plays a carefree girl who is slightly pressurised by her parents to find a life partner for herself. She is not agreeable to arranged marriage, so her father asks her to choose her man by herself. The issue is she gets attracted to three men, and she has to select one among them.
Here's what the reviews are saying about the movie...
"Hebah Patel steals the show. She looks gorgeous and does tremendous work. The three boyfriends were at their best. The movie has got some good audio. The cinematography by Chota K is as always a pleasure to watch. The dialogues need a special mention. However, the editing and the screenplay could have been better."
"The movie may entertain the youth and the masses to some extent. Everyone will be impressed by the emotional play of Rao Ramesh. The film is a must watch. Do not miss this popcorn entertainer."
"On the whole, Nanna Nenu Na Boyfriends is a unique romantic drama which has some decent moments. Hebah Patel and Rao Ramesh’s performance and some strong emotional scenes are basic assets. On the flipside, routine love scenes and a predictable first half make the film go down at times. Finally, if you like love stories with a twist and a bit of father sentiment, you can give this film a shot."
"Nanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends has some decent elements going its way. A simple set up, decent performances from the lead cast and some emotions are basic assets. If you go in with low expectations and forget the predictable nature of the script, you can give this film a shot for its great father-daughter sentiment."
"Hebah Patel was good enough in Kumari. This movie was also good in terms of acting. The sentimental element looks forced and should be brought in early into the movie. Tejaswi Madivada, as the supporting bubbly sister, does a good job. Both the heroines, turned up their glamour quotient in the first half of the film. Comedians like Krishna Bhagavan are wasted but comic timing with the heroines and heroes works. It is a small release this weekend and should get more audience by the weekend in case it works with the teenage audience."
