The tussle between actress Shweta Tiwari and her estranged husband, Abhinav Kohli for access to their young son, Reyansh has been making headlines since a few days now. In a shocking development, Shweta Tiwari released a CCTV footage where we could see Abhinav Kohli trying to forcibly snatch Reyansh from Shweta Tiwari's arms. It looks like some physical tussle also happened between the former couple. The incident happened in October 2020 at Shweta Tiwari's building compound. Now, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Mumbai Police asking them to pay attention to the case. They tweeted, "@NCWIndia is perturbed by this reported incident and has taken cognizance of the matter. Chairperson @sharmarekha has written to DGP Maharashtra asking to immediately to look into the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with the law.”
The chairperson of NCW has written to Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale. She has written, "In the hustle, Shweta Tiwari falls on the ground. The accused continues to create ruckus after getting inside the house as well. The commission is perturbed with the sight of the atrocity being committed on a child and to the woman. You are, therefore, requested to immediately look into the matter and take appropriate action against the accused in accordance with the law. The action taken must be communicated to the commission within 10 days." The couple got married in 2013 and their son Reyansh was born in 2016.
