If Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar's controversy saddened you, then Vinta Nanda's explosive revelation about the rape she suffered from a senior actor was downright horrifying. Vinta wrote about how the actor known for his love for alcohol would regularly harass the leading lady of the popular soap, Tara Navneet Nishan. The actress never had a cordial relationship with her co-star and had called him an alcoholic mess after he labelled her as a drug user in an interview. Navneet Nishan has finally opened up and extended her support to Nanda, who was the writer and producer of Tara.
In a statement to NDTV, she said, "I support every woman and man who is standing up for herself/himself in the #MeToo movement. I empathise with Vinta for the terrible pain she has gone through; it is unimaginable. I dealt with the four-year harassment by slapping the man in question and it is done and dusted. l suffered the loss of the show and was further shamed by the man through media and I endured that. I fought my battles there and then. I am immensely glad that the power trip and sexual dominance coming from this power is being called out. It is high time."
Vinta Nanda and Alok Nath have been trending after her revelation on Facebook. The lady wrote about how it destroyed her life and confidence.
