Celebrate the nine day long festival with some popular Bollywood tunes
As we reach the final quarter of 2015, the seasons of festivals beckons us. People are eagerly waiting for the month to turn November to welcome the festival of lights, Diwali. But before Diwali, how can we forget the fun filled nine days of Navratri?
From Durga Puja in Bengal to Golu festival in Tamil Nadu to Dandia nights in Gujrat, Navratri is widely celebrated across the country. And what better way to celebrate than having some crazy fun grooving to Bollywood songs tailor made for such occasions. During each day of Navratri, I will bring you one Bollywood song to celebrate the festivities. And since today is the commencement of the nine day festival, what better song to celebrate with other than Het Shubaarambh from Kai Poche.
Kai Poche, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajjkumar Rao was well received by the audience and the song Hey Shubaarambh became a huge hit during Navratri celebrations. Its catchy music, Gujrati lyrics and Dandiya performance by Rajkummar Rao and Amrita Puri makes this song an instant hit during the nine day festivities. Rendered by Shruti Pathak and Divya Kumar, Hey shubhaarambh is a perfect example of a Gujarati folk song. Both the singers have sung this number flawlessly. Music composer Amit Trivedi has done a fantastic job of seamlessly mixing folk music, shehnai and drumbeats into this song. The song has been written by Swanand Kirkire and by infusing Gujarati lyrics, he has taken it to another level. Soulful singing, great melody and meaningful lyrics make Hey shubhaarambhan absolute treat for the ears. And we won’t be surprised if this addictive song becomes the most popular track during this garba season.
