Young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj is currently directing superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming film which is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The yet untitled film will also star Bollywood's acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a crucial role and will mark his debut in Tamil cinema. Nawazuddin has begun shooting for the film today and the actor took to Twitter to post a picture from the sets of the film. He is seen rehearsing his lines for the scene and says he is delighted to share the screen with Thalaivar Rajinikanth.
"Rehearsing my lines for my first Tamil movie #Thalaivar165. Delighted to be working with the Superstar #Thalaivar" [sic] tweeted Nawazuddin Siddiqui. This untitled film also stars Trisha Krishnan, veteran actress Simran and another Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role. The makers recently wrapped up a schedule in Dehradun and are currently shooting in Chennai for the film. The music of the film will be composed by young sensation Anirudh Ravichander and will be his first composition for a Rajinikanth starrer.

This film will have a lot of first-time collaborations which makes it an exciting project for Tamil audience.
