After getting an A certificate from the Censor Board, the film will finally hit the theatres tomorrow
After the success of PK, Anushka Sharma will now be seen in NH 10 where she plays the role of a modern woman named Meera who is married to Neil Bhoopalam who plays Arjun in the film. The film revolves around their journey to NH 10 which turns their lives around... for worse. Our critic Subramanian Harikumar is watching the film at a special screening right now and has sent us the first impression of the film.
Subramanian says, "The story revolves around a well to do couple Meera and Arjun played by Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam respectively. Meera and Arjun go on a weekend getaway, but a wrong turn gets into trouble as they witness a married couple beaten and dragged by bride's brother played by Darshan Kumaar. Arjun tries to intervene only to be slapped by Darshan who asks him to mind his own business. But Arjun's ego gets them on trouble as he follows Darshan and his goons and witnesses the married couple getting murdered brutally. The goons in turn decide to kill Meera and Arjun. Does the couple manage to come out alive of this ordeal forms rest of the story. Performances by Anushka and Neil are commendable. Anushka shines in the action sequences and her vulnerability adds fuel to the proceedings. Neil has given a decent enough performance as the egoistic boyfriend. The film deserves an A certificate as it is extremely brutal. Action sequences are shot realistically and manage to give you goosebumps. The film also gives a strong message of lack of safety in interiors of country where no one pays heed to law and order. Till now the film has managed to keep me hooked with its nail biting cat and mouse game between Anushka-Neil and Darshan Kumaar's goons. Lets hope the film manages to hold its intensity in the second half."
