Weddings are a big thing in India. It is accompanied by various pre-wedding celebrations that help the families of the respective bride and groom to jell up. It's mostly fun irrespective of the underlying tension between each family. We have witnessed such situations and even seen them in films and serials. It almost the same thing in real-life. Last year had to be one of the busiest and auspicious year as many Bollywood celebs got hitched in intervals. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were amongst the other celebs to tie the knot. It was one of the hush-hush weddings with just close friends and relatives in attendance. Nonetheless, we got a glimpse of the wedding, courtesy of their various fan-pages.
Priyanka Chopra has opened up about her wedding and life after marriage in intervals saying that she is one of the luckiest girls to have found her partner in Nick. Talking about her wedding, Priyanka told Mumbai Mirror that Nick Jonas and his whole clan flew in advance to help Priyanka and her family with the preparations. Priyanka also revealed that Nick even lifted the cylinders at one point. "They flew down to India 10 days before the wedding to help with the preparations so that I could fulfil work commitments. In fact, Nick even fetched cylinders at one time," Priyanka told the daily.
Priyanka further revealed that the groom's family thought the varmala ceremony to be a call to fight. "Nick’s family felt like they had to act. So, they lifted him up and started pushing in," PeeCee told Mirror.
In an interview with IANS, Priyanka recalled that the Team Bride and Team Groom even played cricket for fun. "My cousins are cricket fans, so during my wedding as well, we played cricket by dividing everyone into Team Bride and Team Groom. Nick is a great baseball player, but the two sports are different, so obviously, Team Bride won the match!" she boasted.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra's The Sky Is Pink which also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in key roles. The Sky Is Pink is all set to hit the silver screens on 11th October 2019.
