Two weeks ago, when the reprised version of Aashiq banaya aapne dropped, we couldn't stop ourselves from comparing it to the original. While we know that it isn't exactly fair to compare the two, since both the versions are as different as chalk and cheese. However, when the makers chose to reprise what was a rather popular number, they must sure have known that comparisons would be inevitable. And since we were having such a hard time deciding which one was better, we asked you to decide for us. And, we must say, your answer was pretty unanimous.
You chose the original as the best version of the song, and we must say, we do agree with you. Back in 2005 when Aashiq Banaya Aapne released, the Emraan Hashmi-Tanushree Dutta film garnered attention thanks to its title song. The chemistry between the lead pair was sizzling and it was all anyone could talk about for days to come. No wonder even today people remember it and love it. The new version of the song, that features in Hate Story 4 is high on tempo and more of a club number. While Urvashi Rautela's seductive moves do make the song appealing, it only lasts a while.
Sung by Himesh Reshammiya and Shreya Ghoshal, the original number was as sensuous as it gets. Not just due to the steamy scenes between Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta, the song, in itself, was very sensual. With faster pace, the reprised version of the song is nothing like the original. Since the setting is different, the video of the song is all about tight close-ups, raunchy moves and some really blingy clothes.
