They both are too awesome for us to decide!
The Jungle Book's new song Jungle Jungle Baat Chali hai has taken the internet by STORM! Obviously, it holds too much of nostalgic value, especially for the 80s and 90s kids who grew up watching Mowgli on Doordarshan. Although as kids, we all jested over the word 'chaddi' but now when we hear it, it just takes us back to those days when the song first came into existence. The tune is ingrained in our heads so well that we just humm it away.
When the song first got released by the production house's Youtube channel, I was more than excited to watch the video and listen to the song. Being a 90s' baby myself, I was totally in awe of how brilliantly the song was composed by Vishal Bharadwaj with the lyrics of legendary lyricist Gulzar (who created the original song as well). Even the video of the song had stills of the kids involved in singing the song and clips of The Jungle Book movie.
After watching this song, I went ahead and typed Mowgli on the search bar. I had to listen to the old version as well because it was what made fall in love with this cartoon. So yes, I listened to it and again, nostalgia crept in. I couldn't make up my mind on which Jungle jungle baat chali hai song was better, the old one or the new one. It then struck me, why not ask you folks which one you found better. So there, I've attached both the videos of the songs. Now all you gotta do is check both of them out, drown yourself a little in the sea of nostalgia, get back on present and vote for the one you found best!
