The look was revealed as a Birthday gift to Raj Kummar Rao
Few days ago we revealed about Kangana Ranaut spending time in a workshop for her upcoming film Simran, which will be directed by Hansal Mehta. But that's not the only film he'll be working on. Hansal Mehta today released the first look of Raj Kummar Rao's character from their new collaboration called OMERTA.
While nothing is known about the movie yet, but going by the look of Raj Kummar Rao's character it looks like a period film. Raj Kummar Rao sports spectacles a la SRK's Raees look and also a beard and black suit. The pic is in black and white.
The look was revealed as a B'day gift to Raj Kummar Rao by director Hansal Mehta. Mehta who has worked with the actor in Shahid, Citylights and Aligarh tweeted,"To the honest, selfless & gifted actor whose visit to a reluctant me transformed my life. Many Happy Returns my dearest @RajkummarRao". In his next tweet he posted the picture with the caption,"On his birthday a picture from @RajkummarRao's look test in our latest and most radical collaboration yet - OMERTA"
Mehta termed their fourth collaboration as the most radical one. Rao was super excited about the look and replied,"Can't wait for the world to see. One of the most complex characters I've ever played. #OMERTA"
Raj Kummar Rao and Hansal Mehta's first collaboration Shahid was their most successful till date. It won Raj Kummar Rao his first National Award for acting and the movie won an award too. Their next collaboration Citylights got mixed reviews but Raj Kummar was appreciated for his acting and their last collaboration Aligarh was critical success but a commercial failure. Hansal Mehta and Raj Kummar Rao's combo has always fetched great performance from the actor, so we just can't wait for this 'radical' collaboration of theirs.
