The erotic thriller starring Priyanka Chopra's cousin Mannara and Karanvir Sharma is releasing this weekend
We’ve heard of actors giving multiple takes in order to come up with the perfect one. It’s not just the Aamir Khan’s and Hrithik Roshan’s in the industry, that strive for perfection. The younger generation of actors also don’t give up unless they are satisfied with their performance.
The latest example of not giving up, comes from the sets of Anubhav Sinha and Mushtaq Shiekh’s upcoming production venture, Zid. The film is being touted as an erotic thriller and it is believed that while shooting intimate scenes and lip locks, the actors had a tough time. One lip lock in particular, took more than half a day to shoot! The scene in question was being picturised on Karanvir and Shraddha Das. It is learnt that the actors just couldn’t get it right and the director had to extend the shoot to get the perfect take. Talking about the scene in question is actress Shraddha Das who says, “I remember that day clearly. We were given a brief about the kissing scene in the morning and the director narrated the entire scene to both Karanvir and me. Both of us were pretty chilled out and felt that it’s just another scene and that we will approach it just like we had approached other scenes. When we reached the sets and started enacting, things just didn’t go the way we expected. We both were awkward, hesitant and there was absolutely no chemistry between us. After a few takes, we became a bit conscious and then it just went from bad to worse. Finally the director had to step in. He took charge and most of the crew was asked to leave so that we could concentrate on acting rather than bothering about other stuff. Eventually we delivered a take that was good enough for our director and moved on. It took us more than half a day to can that shot.”
Well now that so much has gone into that scene, we would love to catch a glimpse and see what the hoopla was all about. Zid releases on 28th November in theatres all across India.
