Not only do they recreate the oath of the Night's Watch with their own touch but hide a few significant symbols too. Check it out here...
Game of Thrones is in everyone's mind, especially since the sixth season of the series has been every bit captivating. With a notion of hooking the fans' attention solely towards their show, producers David Benioff and DB Weiss have done a fantastic job of making every episode butt kickin'. Usually, RR Martin is known for creating all kinds of twists and deaths by the end of the particular season. However, this time, he chose to give fans jolts in every bloody episode of season six. As an ardent fan myself, I believe every episode of GoT season six is like Christmas!
Therefore not missing the episode airing at 7:30 on Monday mornings is very very crucial as there are pricks all over the world who love spoiling things. And to make sure fans wake up early and quickly check out the episode along with the world, this ad is every bit motivating! So Hotstar came up with an ad to encourage fans to wake up early in the morning and pledge that they will watch the episodes along with the world and not let spoilers ruin their anticipation of what's to happen next. Now what I really found cool about this ad was the fact that they chose to alter the oath of the Night's Watch. And interesting bit about this ad is the fact that there are several hidden elements of GoT around people that not many would notice in the first go.
Lucky for us, we just found out about those latent elements! Check out what GoT elements have been subtly placed in this ad below!
# The Crow in the opening shot - Brothers of the Night's Watch are often called crows by the Free Folk.
# The Weirwood Tree on the bedside table - Found all over Westeros, Weirwoods with faces carved into their distinctive white barks are known as Heart Trees and are symbolic of the Old Gods.
# RL on the wall and J on the T-shirt - a very popular fan theory. Will R+L=J be proved correct? Or is it just wishful thinking, we'll just have to wait and watch.
# The Mountain on the door and the Hound on the jogger's T-shirt. - symbolic of Cleganebowl, a very popular fan prediction . Will season 6 witness the Mountain vs. the Hound? Your guess is as good as ours.
# The Red Comet in the sky - It appeared in Westeros in 299 AC (years after Aegon’s Conquest) and is believed to herald many different events including the coming of dragons.
# The Golden Hand on the backscratcher - symbolic of Jaime's golden sword hand.
# The cranberry juice on ice - symbolic of The Wall and all the bloodshed it has witnessed and is yet to see.
# The Black Dragon on the Cup - symbolic of Drogon. The fiercest of the three living dragons.
