So, it's almost time fellas! The award season is upon us and the race to grab the top spot has begun. If you have missed the whiff; The Academy Awards will soon announce the final contenders for the Best Foreign Language Film category and we cannot wait. Previously, Rajkummar Rao starrer Newton had battled the the odds to become the official selection but unfortunately failed to make it up to the final nominations list. But that was last year, the new year has brought in a lot of promise for Indian films both Hindi and regional and we're thrilled to hear the official word on it. Reportedly, this time around, there are about 28 films that are being considered to be India's official run at the Oscars 2019. According to Pinkvilla, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama Padmaavat featuring Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi, Shoojit Sircar's October with Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Manto and others are in the running to be in the Oscars 2019 nomination race. The report also states that the announcement will be made today at the IMPPA house. Check out the list of top contenders here:
