The producer, Aseem Bajaj, says he didn't see men in US getting excited over the scene
Radhika Apte's nude scenes from Parched have been making rounds on social messaging apps. We were the first ones to report about the leak of the two videos from the Leena Yadav directed film. The film was made for international audience and film festivals and hence doesn't shy away from some frontal nudity. Radhika and Adil Hussain's love making scene in the film has become the talk of the town. Parched is produced by Aseem Bajaj and co-produced by Ajay Devgn. Aseem talks about the how they shot the scene and what meaning it holds for the film while addressing the leak.
Talking to a news daily Aseem said “I don't think the leak happened in India. The film has released in the US and France and its possible someone uploaded them from there." He is also thinking about approaching the cyber cell of Mumbai police. "The scenes are not sensational or titillating in any way. But in our country while rape videos are available freely, sex is still considered taboo so we had planned to blur out the breasts. Radhika plays a woman who has been beaten up all her life and is yearning for a loving touch," he further adds.

Aseem said that in no way the makers wanted to objectify Radhika in the scenes in question. He said that Radhika is like his sister and they did not set out to exploit her in anyway. “This kind of attitude stems from the way people view such scenes. I didn't see men in the US and France `getting excited'. We haven't sent the film to the Indian censors yet but I am confident the CBFC will understand the thought behind them and agree that they are integral to the narrative. We are not ashamed of these scenes." he added.
