The bubbly girl of Bollywood, Parineeti Chopra, who recently wrapped up the shooting of The Girl on a train, is all set to kickstart the shooting of her next, which is the biopic of Indian olympian shuttler Saina Nehwal. The Golmaal Again actress will start the filming from 11 October and the expectations and excitement from this biographical drama is already sky-high. The film will be directed by Amole Gupte, who previously helmed Stanley Ka Dabba, Sniff and Hawaa Hawaai.
I have netted a really good talent who has the acting prowess to play Saina,” said Amole Gupte to Mumbai Mirror. Speaking about the first scene, he said, “In the first scene, Parineeti as Saina will be answering questions from the fraternity, including journalists, students and sports management people.”. Parineeti, who practiced hard to get into the skin of the character told the tabloid, “I’ve put all my energies prepping for this role, something I’ve never done for the 10-12 films that I’ve worked in previously and in the process I have finally discovered the person I am and the actor. I’m really excited to start Saina. I think it will be a life-changing experience.” Co-producer of the film, Krishan Kumar said that he has seen the clips of Parineeti's training and she has done a fabulous job. “On October 11, we roll, and Parineeti will juggle between her shoots and practice to keep her game up,” he asserted.
Shraddha Kapoor was earlier roped in to play this biopic, so with Parineeti replacing her will there be any changes in the film? Director Amole answered this to the tabloid and said,? “I had met Saina when she was in Mumbai for Father’s Day and when it was mentioned that Parineeti would be playing her on screen, she was really excited. I concur with her.” The shooting of the film will happen in the coming four months and we can expect it release it in 2020. So, are you excited for the film? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
