After stunning one and all with Citylights, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao stepped into the world of Bollywood together. And while Rajkummar has gone on to do several interesting and succesful films, his girlfriend Patralekhaa has just been seen in Love Games, which turned out to be a flop. The actress' third film, Nanu ki Jaanu starring Abhay Deol is all set to release and the actress is hoping that this film gets her career back on track. But has Rajkummar's rise to stardom put more pressure on her? Is she jealous? And will she ever take help from her boyfriend to get her career back on track? Well, in an interview with Rajeev Masand the actress opened about all these topics and the answers will really leave you impressed.
Talking about whether she is pressurised or jealous of the fact that her career has not taken off, while Rajkummar's career is booming, Patrelkhaa revealed, "A lot of people do ask me this question, but the beautiful thing about us is that it (the pressure and jealousy) hasn't yet seeped into our relationship. He has been the biggest support that I could ask for and you know him, he is one of the most amazing human being I have come across. I must tell you this, while Love Games was happening, is when he lost his mum. It was a terrible time for both of us and that's where we connected the most and we were there for each other. And seeing him do that well, it instills more hope and faith in me. This man, he does not have time, he is always running against it, but that's what inspires me. So when I met Raj a couple of years back, he inspired me and after so many years, he still inspires me. He has given me so much respect and that's why we have lasted through so many ups and downs." And when she was asked if she has or ever will ask Rajkummar for career help, Patralekhaa said, "Five years down the line, he might be in that position, but I don't want to take it. It might be one film that will work or may not work, but it will be out there for people to judge. And I would never want to put him in such a position. Actually a lot of people ask me, 'Your boyfriend is so famous, why don't you tell him (to get you some work)?' I will never, in my life, want to ask him, 'You know what, let's do something together or get me some work.' It's going to just crush my self respect."
