Hyderabad pop sensation Smita releases Baha Kilikki as a tribute to Baahubali movie.
Remember the Kalakeyas from Baahubali? Yes the savage warriors who spoke in a weird clicking language. Now they have a song in their own language! Pop singer Smita, who hails from Hyderabad, has released a song in Kilikki- the Kalakeya tongue as a tribute to the cast and crew of the Tollywood blockbuster Baahubali.
Baahubali the most expensive Telugu movie and arguably the most expensive Indian movie ever made hit the screens in July this year and created a mass fan following across the country. The SS Rajamouli directed epic was much appreciated for its grand style, stunning graphics and breathtaking action sequences. The film made a collection of 600 crores worldwide.
The song features Smita along with Kalakeya Prabhakar and rapper Noel Sean. The song was composed by Achu, choreographed by Bosco and directed by Deva Katta. The song itself is quite peppy and the words of the song in the Kilikki language make it catchy and refreshing. The song also acts as a great promoter for the upcoming sequel of this epic saga.
Smita is a well known Southern singer and has won many accolades including a filmfare in 2005 for best female playback singer.
