Among the movies releasing this summer, a certain film has made everyone sit up, courtesy its unusual concept. After Kamal Haasan's Pushpak in 1987, Karthik Subbaraj is set to showcase his first silent thriller - Mercury starring Prabhudheva in the lead. This will be a no-dialogue film in all languages! After announcing this unusual film, the makers released an intriguing teaser. The promo triggered several discussions and questions on Mercury. BollywoodLife got a chance to meet up with the Mercury team and have several questions answered. But instead, here's what actually happened...
As we all know, Mercury is scheduled to release on April 13th. Turns out, there's another awaited film that shares the same release date. This movie happens to be a Bollywood film. Interestingly, it is one of Prabhudheva's co-star's film. We are talking about Varun Dhawan's October. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar and and also stars debutante Banita Sandhu. While one is a silent thriller, the other is an intense, atypical love story. Both are set to lock horns at the box office. When BollywoodLife broke the news of Mercury's clash with October to Prabhudheva, here's how he reacted:
While he was too surprised to know of the clash, that didn't stop him from gushing about Varun, "Very sweet person. Everyone knows how hardworking he is. He is too good." When we asked Prabhudheva to rate him as dancer, he added, "He dances very well. He dances, fights, acts... We did ABCD2 and he put in so much hardwork and effort. Unbelievable. Too good!" The two are set to share screen space again in Remo D'Souza's upcoming dance epic. The movie will also star Katrina Kaif. We can't wait for the two to team up again!
