Shriya Saran has been missing from South Indian films. Although she has been doing cameos here and there sporadically, she was last seen in the Nagarjuna starrer Oopiri. In case of Bollywood, she was last seen in Ajay Devgn starrer thriller Drishyam. Now it looks she is ready for her next Hindi film.
The next film starring the gorgeous actress is titled as Tadka, which is a remake of the Malayalam film Salt N' Pepper. Interestingly her last film Drishyam was also a remake of a Malayalam of the same name. Prakash Raj, who is mainly famous for his acting, also directed the movie Salt N' Pepper in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Now he is going to direct the Bollywood version too. This will the actor's debut in B-town as a filmmaker.
Most of the film will be shot in Goa. Tadka's main plot is about how the love for food brings four different kind of people together. Other than Shriya, the film will also star Taapsee Pannu and Nana Patekar. Prakash Raj has confirmed to an entertainment website that everything is in order and the shooting will begin officially from the end of the month.
Well folks, it looks like you will not be seeing your favourite actress in a South film anytime soon. A few days back the rumour of Shriya being cast in Baahubali 2 gave a false hope, but looks like she is focussing on Bollywood films at the moment.
