It was only last month Sidharth and Priyanka Chopra got together for a commercial that was shot by Shakun Batra (Kapoor & Sons fame). He mentioned, while speaking with Mumbai Mirror that she was easy to work with, had lots of experience and always kept an open mind. "She knew Shakun, when I joined them on set, there was laughter all around. It was a long day with a lots of work and she was simultaneously coordinating with her teams in the US on a Hollywood film. It was wonderful to watch." Looks like, Priyanka has found herself a new fan!
It's been 4 years since Student Of the Year, for Sidharth Malhotra and a lot has changed post that. He has had his share of good films and bad ones but it's not the pressure of performing when the camera is rolling that gets to him, it's the pressure of having to be in character even when not at work that makes him restless, "I have lived 25 years of my life doing fun things but now if I spend time with close friends or even family, it's up for conversation. i understand it's the nature of my job, but I am still that Delhi boy who doesn't want everything he does to get published because he believes he's big sh*t." That's a terrible space to be in and I never want stardom to get to my head. So I go from Delhi Boy to Bollywood actor over and over in my head." said the actor while speaking with Mumbai Mirror. He also talks about his upcoming films. He recently wrapped up Reload, which he clarifies yet again is NOT a sequel to Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang. "The stunts were high voltage with respect to the Hand to Hand combats. French action director Cyril Rafaelli flew down to train me so I get the body language right. The action is hlighly stylised, there is a lot happening in cramped spaces, restaurants, bars and even a shop.
In February he starts shooting for the remake of Yash Chopra's Ittefaq and then there his love story Aashiqui 3 with Alia Bhatt that's reportedly in its final stages of scripting. Apparently, Shakun Batra who directed both of them in Kapoor &Sons is planning on writing a story keeping them in mind. " I would like to say Shakun and I are connected because we both are from Delhi and started off as assistant directors. We understand each other's camera language and it will be great to work with him in yet another feature." after a splendid film like Kapoor& Sons, we are hoping this film takes off soon.
