A concert conducted by AR Rahman recently in UK came in news for all the wrong reasons. Some of his North Indian fans had walked out of the concert and ranted on Twitter saying that there were Tamil songs being sung there. They can't seem to accept the fact that AR Rahman who started from Chennai and is still active there, and has produced his best music there, has used Tamil songs in concert, which is also named in Tamil. Above all, more songs were sung in Hindi If you thought that was ridiculous, so do we. And so does Priyanka Chopra.
Priyanka Chopra was in town to be with her family so that they can bring in her birthday together. She also held a media interaction some time back to announce her upcoming productions. In the same conference, Priyanka was asked about this incident, and what she felt about this. And she had a fitting reply that resonated with what we felt "First of all, it is rude!" She, later on, added that, "But I don't know too much about it to comment, because my comment will make 100 articles about it. So I don;t want to say something I am not sure about. But if you are only giving me that much information, then it is rude."
Here's the video...
It's commendable of Priyanka to give such good answer, especially since she is also a singer and a performer. It's high time that some people learn that music really has no boundaries and barriers, and stop cribbing about little things.
