February 14 turned into a black day for the whole of India as 14 CRPF jawans were slain in a terror attack in Pulwama. The whole of India and the world has condemned the cowardly attack that left 42 soldiers dead. Bollywood too has come out strongly in support with many actors voicing strong opinions on the disgusting act. Now, as per a report in Cine Blitz online, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), the nodal body for all cine employees, has decided to observe a black day tomorrow. Work will be halted from 2 pm to 4pm and they will conduct a prayer session for the bravehearts.
FWICE President B.N. Tiwari told Cine Blitz Online, “The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has requested everyone observe a black day. Work in studios, on edit tables, and at shoot locations will be halted from 2 pm to 4 pm tomorrow (February 17). This is being done to show solidarity. During this period, the FWICE along with members of all the 24 crafts will assemble outside Film City (Goregaon, Mumbai) to condemn the Pulwama attack.” It seems the shoot of Salman Khan's Bharat and Amitabh Bachchan- Virendra Sehwag's ad has been affected.
On February 14, a Jaish-E-Mohammad member Adil Ahmed Dar rammed a car full of explosives like RDX into a convoy carrying CRPF jawans on the Jammu - Srinagar Highway. The militant outfit claimed responsibility for the attack. Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
